Werkplaats in de buurt van Rotterdam?

Bericht door jannik » do nov 28, 2019 10:09 pm

Hi allemaal,

excuses, maar mijn Nederlandse is nog niet zo goed, daarom probeer ik het in Engels :)

I have an old LT35 from 1986. Unfortunately, it does not really "take the gas anymore":

- I drive about 80km/h in 4th gear and it feels like I'm trying to start driving in 3rd gear (constant "bucking")
- At idle it sometimes just turns off completely

I had the car now for about 2.5 months at a larger workshop. Unfortunately the guys there are not really specialized in such old models and I am slowly losing confidence that they will manage to fix the car at all. A completely new throttle valve (https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de ... 3dfac.html) has already been installed - but did not help. Next, a partial load enrichment valve carburettor (https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de ... entil.html) was tried to install. According to the workshop, this does not fit with the existing carburettor.

Here is some info about the engine:
-Model 2,4
- l6
- carbureted
- 90 PS

My question therefore: Does anyone know a qualified workshop in/near Rotterdam that can handle those old models?

Thank you in advance!
best regards
Jannik

Hey Jannik,

Did you manage to find a garage already?
There's is a old Aircooled VW garage in Krimpen aan den IJssel near Rotterdam.
They are not specialized in LT's but know their way around an old VW better than most "normal" garages.
